I definitely agree with the author’s point about the meeting organizer driving the agenda and making sure to review action items at the end of the meeting. Action items should always have a clear owner and be time bound.

I have followed a system for keeping my life managed for the past year and half called GTD. David Allen is the author of GTD and he gave a talk at Google last October that was recently posted by his company on YouTube. It’s a great introduction to GTD and gives some additional helpful insight for those who have already read his book.

I have used the NetNewsWire RSS feed reader software since I switched to the Macintosh platform. It offers great functionality for managing, reading and archiving RSS news stories. The software also integrates nicely with their online reader which also happens to have a great interface for the iPhone. The company that makes the software has recently announced that all of their products including clients for Macintosh, PC and the online reader are now being made available for free. I would highly recommend that you visit their website and give NetNewsWire a space on your dock for keeping up with your RSS feeds.
